MEET James Theros
Owner & Head Instructor at Level 10 Martial Arts College
James Theros has spent over 30 years teaching martial arts, starting in 1995 with the founding of what would become Level 10 Martial Arts College. What began as a single Indianapolis academy grew into a program built on one simple belief: martial arts should build stronger people, not just stronger athletes.
In 2017, James brought that same standard to Florida, opening Level 10's Palm Harbor location alongside co-instructor Debi Theros. Together, they've built a program where students of every age — from Little Ninjas to adults — learn discipline, confidence, and leadership the same way James has taught it for three decades: through consistent effort, not shortcuts.
Our Story
Level 10 Martial Arts College traces its roots back to Indianapolis, Indiana, where James Theros established a successful martial arts school in 1995, dedicated to developing confident students and strong leaders. After more than 20 years building that program in Indiana, James brought Level 10 to Palm Harbor, Florida, in July of 2017 — where he's continued that same standard for the better part of a decade since.
Since opening in Palm Harbor, Level 10 Martial Arts College has helped hundreds of local students improve their confidence, focus, discipline, and leadership skills. The academy continues to uphold the same values that guided its founding: helping students pursue higher standards, overcome challenges, and become the best version of themselves.
The name "Level 10" represents an attitude of higher standards—a commitment to continual growth and personal excellence. Every class, every lesson, and every achievement is designed to help students move closer to their own personal Level 10.
